Qualification & Experience Required for AIOU Jobs 2024:-

Director IET:-

Second Class Master’s Degree or its equivalent from a recognized University.
17 years of relevant experience above grade 17 in program manager control educational programs. Producer in Pakistan Radio/Television or equivalent post in Audio Visual Centers of a University/Department of Education or other relevant institution, with a high level of practical program production and media management in a Government/Semi-Government/Autonomous Institution—04 years of mandatory experience in BPS-19 or equivalent in a reputed organization.

Director IT:-

2nd Class Master’s Degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering Electrical Engineering / Telecom Engineering / IT or its equivalent from a recognized University.
Grade 17 or above (or equivalent) in technical, planning, designing, and implementation in database networks/web/video conferencing systems e-learning/networks / IT operations / IT projects/data center/security 17 years of experience in / Semi-Government / Autonomous Organization / National International Organization of repute out of which 04 years mandatory experience in BPS-19 or equivalent certification like OCP, CCNA, or relevant from a recognized international organization Preference will be given.

Chief Security Officer:-

Retired Commissioned Officer from Pakistan Army, not below the rank of Major, with a good service record of 12 years of experience.

Director Enhancement Cell-

PhD in a relevant field from a recognized University/Institution.
10 years of teaching experience in an HEC-recognized university or post-graduate institution Professional experience in the relevant field in a national or international institution OR 5 years post-Ph.D in an HEC-recognized university or post-graduate institution Teaching/research experience of OR Professional experience in relevant field in a national or international organization.
Minimum Number of Publications Applicant should have 10 research publications (minimum 4 publications in HEC-recognized journals over 5 years

Director Administration:-

2nd Class Master’s degree or equivalent from a HEC recognized University.
17 years relevant experience at a high level in Grade- 17 or above in a Government / Semi-Government / Autonomous Body or University of repute out of which 04- years’ mandatory experience in BPS-19 or equivalent

Director Works:-

2nd Class B. Sc Civil Engineering or BS Civil Engineering (4 years study) from an HEC-recognized university.
17 years of relevant experience in Grade 17 or above (or equivalent) of construction/ maintenance of buildings/ roads and civil services in a Government/ Semi-Government/ National or International organization of repute out of which 12 years’ mandatory experience BPS-18 or above

Additional Director (Planning & Development):-

2nd Class Master’s Degree or equivalent preferably Economics Statistics Educational Planning Management| from a and & HEC recognized University.
12 years of administrative experience in Grade 17 or above including that of planning and development in a Government/ Semi-Govt or Autonomous Body of repute preferably in any University out of which 04 years’ mandatory experience in BPS- 18 or equivalent.

Librarian:-

2nd Class Master’s degree or equivalent in Library and Information Sciences from a HEC-recognized University.
12 years professional-cum- administrative experience in Grade 17 or above in the relevant field in a Government/ Semi-Government or Autonomous Body of repute out of which 04-years’ mandatory experience in BPS-18 or equivalent

Deputy Director of Student Affairs:-

2nd Class Master’s degree or equivalent from a recognized University.
05 years of experience in BPS-17 and equivalent or above in a relevant field in a Government / Semi-Government or Autonomous Body preferably in any repute distance / non-formal institution

Senior Staff Officer to the Vice Chancellor / Secretary:-

2nd Class Master’s Degree or equivalent from a recognized University.
05 years experience in BPS-17 and equivalent or above in a relevant field in Government/Semi-Government/ Autonomous Body National/ International organization of repute.

Deputy Director IT:-

2nd Class master’s Degree in Computer Science Software Engineering/ Electrical Engineering/ IT/ Telecom Engineering or equivalent from a recognized University.
05 years experience in BPS-17 and equivalent or above in Designing, Implementing Operations, and Database/Software/ Web/ Video Conferencing/ Systems/ E-Learning/ Networks/ IT Operations/ IT Projects/ Data Center/Security Support. Government/ semi-government or autonomous body organization of national or international repute. OCP, CCNA, or related certifications from recognized international organizations will be preferred.

Assistant Director IT:-

2nd Class Master’s Computer Science Degree in Electrical Engineering Engineering, ‘ Software Telecom Engineering or equivalent from a HEC recognized University.
Relevant experience in Implementation / Operations and support of Data Base / Software / Web / Video Conferencing / Systems / E-Leaming / Networks / IT Operations / IT Projects / Data Centre / Security in a Government / Semi-Government or Autonomous Body of repute shall be preferred

Assistant Director Administration:-

2nd Class Master’s degree or equivalent from an HEC-recognized University
Relevant experience shall be preferred in a government / Semi-Government / Autonomous Body or the University of repute

Assistant Director Works Civil:-

2nd Class B. Sc. Engineering or BS Engineering (4 years study) from a recognized University.
Relevant shall be preferred in a Government / Semi- National International organization of repute

Assistant Registrar:-

2nd Class Master’s degree or equivalent from a HEC recognized University.
Relevant experience shall be preferred in a Government / Semi-Government / Autonomous Body or a University of repute

Assistant Treasurer:-

Chartered Accountant / ACMA or 2nd Class Master’s Degree or equivalent preferably in Business Admin (Specialization in Finance) Commerce from a recognized University.
Relevant experience shall be preferred in a Government / Semi-Government / Autonomous Body or any National / International organization of repute

Graphic Designers:-

2nd Class Master’s degree or equivalent preferably in Fine Arts/ Graphic design from a HEC recognized University.
Relevant professional experience in professional design in print production/ video production design in a Government/ Semi-Government/ Autonomous Body or organization of repute shall be preferred

Overseer Electrical / Civil:-

BS (Electrical / Civil) OR Diploma of Associate Engineer in Electrical / Civil Engineering from the Board of Technical Education or a recognized institution.
Relevant professional experience in professional design in print production/ video production design in a Government/ Semi-Government/ Autonomous Body or organization of repute shall be preferred

Composer:-

Intermediate in Sciences Computer OR FA & Certificate of 1-year duration in Computer Operation from a recognized Institution like Pakistan Computer Bureau.
1-year experience working in a computer government department, an autonomous body, or a reputable private press. OR 1-year experience working on computers in a government department, autonomous body, or a reputable private press

Imam Masjid / Khateeb:-

Dars-e-nizami/ Darja-e- Almia
Fazal Arabi Hafiz-e-Quran preference to OR Shahadat-al-Almia (from a recognized wafaq) preference to Hafiz-e-Quran
3 years experience serving as Imam Masjid and teaching the Holy Quran and Hadith Government in Department Autonomous body or a Mosque of Auqaf Directorate.

Call Centre Supervisor:-

2nd Class Intermediate
02-years’ experience in Supervising of call centre for handling incoming and outgoing calls in a Public/ Private organization of repute

Covering Machine Operator:-

2nd Class Matriculation
2 years experience in the relevant field in a government or reputable private printing press

Stitching Machine Operator:-

Aluminum / Glass Fabricator:-

2 years experience as an Aluminum/ Glass Fabricator in a Government Department / Autonomous body or a reputable firm/company.

Junior Electrician:-

Class Matriculation Certificate in Electrical from the Board of Technical Education
Experience in the relevant field is preferable

Assistant Regional Director:-

2nd Class Master’s degree or equivalent from a HEC recognized University.
Relevant experience shall be preferred in a Government / Semi-Government / Autonomous Body or the University of repute

Student Counselor:-

2nd Class Graduation from a HEC recognized University.
04 years’ experience in education-related activities in educational institutions of repute preferably in BPS 14 or equivalent. Knowledge of computer applications is essential

Assistant:-

Second Class Bachelor’s Degree
Typing speed 30 w.p.m After induction, 6 weeks basic IT Training Course (including MS Office) conducted by the National Information Technology Board (NITB) or a similar Institution.

Driver:-

Literate
H.T. VI PSV valid driving license
02 years experience of driving light/ heavy vehicles

Naib Qasid:-

Literate
Experience working in offices is preferable

Chowkidar:-

Literate

Sanitary Worker:-

Literate

Important Instructions for Allama Iqbal Open University AIOU Jobs 2024:-

Candidates have to submit their applications online. No hard copies of applications are acceptable. However, at the time of the interview for the written test, candidates must bring the original certificate/fee challan for verification.
The information claimed in the online application form will be considered final, claims made after the experience, and any other, not previously given in the online application form, will be considered later and will be considered for eligibility. . Such subsequent claims will not be entertained.
Candidates applying for BPS-02 posts shall apply in hard form on prescribed proforma available at AlOU along with paid fee challan to HRD Section, Registrar Department, AIOU, H-8, Islamabad. Website
Eligibility of candidates will be determined as per AJOU Services Act 1978 as amended till April 2022, relevant applicable laws of Govt., the conditions of advertisement, and subsequent shortlisting/scrutiny will be strictly determined. / will be done. Provisions mentioned in AlOU Recruitment Rules 2022, available on the AlOU website
Candidates selected against their respective provincial quota may be posted in any AlOU Regional Center of that province.
The upper age limit prescribed under the Rules shall be relaxed as per Relaxation of Upper Age Limit Rules, 1993 (as amended from time to time) as provided in AIOU Services Statutes 1978 (as amended up to April 2022). is
Applicants working in Government/ Semi-Government and Autonomous Institutions (including AIOU employees) on regular acting charge officiating/ ad-hoc/ existing charge, and/or on a contract basis must apply through proper channels. And should obtain issued NOC and Service Certificate. by the date specified by the concerned controlling authority, failing which the application will be considered incomplete and rejected.
AlOU reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of posts or not to fill any post/stop appointment against any post, without assigning any reason.
Candidates need to provide valid/non-MNP cell numbers (for SMS) and postal addresses for TCS/Courier delivery. AIOU shall not be responsible for courier delay or non-receipt of SMS.
Candidates who applied against the posts advertised by AlOU in March 2023 need not apply again.
