Minority Card Know How to Apply
For the benefit of the province’s worthy and impoverished families, the Punjab government has taken yet another significant step. The number of “minority cards” has been raised from 50,000 to 75,000 per the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. Thousands of minority families will find new hope in this initiative.
صوبے کے مستحق اور غریب خاندانوں کے فائدے کے لیے پنجاب حکومت نے ایک اور اہم قدم اٹھایا ہے۔ وزیر اعلیٰ پنجاب مریم نواز شریف کی ہدایت پر اقلیتی کارڈز کی تعداد 50 ہزار سے بڑھا کر 75 ہزار کر دی گئی ہے۔ اس اقدام سے ہزاروں اقلیتی خاندانوں کو نئی امید ملے گی۔
A Minority Card: What Is It?
The Punjab government introduced the Minority Card, a welfare program that gives eligible minority families financial support. Every qualifying family receives a monthly stipend through this card to help them with their essential expenses. In order to provide this service to more families, the government has now expanded the number of cards; more people will then be eligible to take advantage of this program.

Eligibility Criteria needed to get the card
To ensure that this service is only available to legitimate recipients, specific requirements must be met in order to obtain a minority card.
Among the crucial eligibility criteria are
- The candidate must be a member of a minority group.
- A National Identity Card (CNIC) is required of the applicant.
- The minimum age should be eighteen.
- The applicant must have a Poverty Milestone (PMT) of 45 or less.
Only individuals whose records are accessible through the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) or Punjab Socio-Economic Registry (PSER) will be registered.
What will the stipend be each month?
The Punjab government claims that every worthy family will receive Rs. 10,500 a month via the Minority Card. The head of the household will receive this sum directly so that he can easily cover his household expenses.
پنجاب حکومت کا دعویٰ ہے کہ اقلیتی کارڈ کے ذریعے ہر مستحق خاندان کو ماہانہ 10,500 روپے ملیں گے۔ گھر کے سربراہ کو یہ رقم براہ راست ملے گی تاکہ وہ آسانی سے اپنے گھریلو اخراجات پورے کر سکے۔
Method of Online Registration
Those who qualify can register online from the comfort of their own homes. A registration web portal has been established by the government. The candidate must enter their information in order to apply.

The deadline for Registration
From September 2, 2025, to September 30, 2025, the registration process will be open. Those who finish their application during this time will be eligible for the card in the following stage.
Special Public Instructions
According to the Punjab government, 75,000 families now have access to this facility, up from 50,000 in the initial phase. In order to take advantage of this facility, all eligible individuals have been advised to register as soon as possible.
